Leidolf Lordox rangefinder camera
Probably manufactured around 1958, this camera appears to be most similar to the Adams 352 camera that Leidolf made for Montgomery Ward in the USA, differing only in the shroud over the rangefinder coupling above the shutter. It has an interchangeable 50mm f/2.8 Lordonar lens in a Pronto leaf-blade shutter.
This is a very uncommon model, and quite possibly was only ever sold in the New Zealand market. This is actually the second example of this model that I have owned. The first one was swapped-away about twenty-five years ago to a collector, perhaps from France, who seemed extremely keen to get it. At the time, I was very focused on improving my Kodak Retina collection, and so I extorted something Retina-related from him in exchange.
Unfortunately this is the only picture that I still have of that particular camera. The original was taken on a film camera, the print was scanned, and the image re-sized to suit the needs of a world still stuck in the dial-up internet age.
