Zeiss Ikon Contaflex Teleskop 1.7X lens
The Teleskop 1.7X is a useful addition for a Contaflex, giving you an effective focal length of around 75mm, and makes a very nice portrait lens. Unlike a rear-mounted teleconverter, no exposure compensation is required with this type of lens.
This telephoto adapter for the Contaflex I & II cameras consists of two major components. The lens itself of course, but first the all-important mounting bracket, which must be fitted to the camera first.
The bracket slides onto the camera body from the bottom.
Slide the mounting bracket into place until the retainer clips on either side click into place. Check to make sure that the standard lens is set back to infinity, and then screw the lens onto the bracket. The retaining catch at the bottom of the bracket will click into place when the lens is seated.
Focus adjustment are made by turning the barrel of the Teleskop lens, not the standard lens.
To remove the Teleskop again, first hold in the button on the retaining catch at the bottom of the bracket, and unscrew the lens. Then while holding the catches on either side of the bracket, slide the bracket off the camera.
