Some cameras needed repair frequently.
Cameras were always expected to need servicing every now and then to keep them working well, maybe once a decade, but you already knew that.What might surprise you though, is just how frequently a complex camera like a Retina Reflex S might have needed attention. A Reflex S just joined my repair queue, it was an especially well-used specimen, and had obviously had quite a hard life. There was some corrosion, the leatherettes were crumbling etc., nothing unusual in that, but I didn't expect to see all this evidence of previous repair work.
